A Rose is a Rose like a Nose is a Nose

Man! OK, so, I left the Tower a little while ago, because I stepped down as Emissary and some people didn't really get that I stepped down and they're all asking me to do stuff or whatever, and I'm like, dude, leave me alone. And I just felt it was totally time for a new start and everything.

The Tower is nice and all, but I've honestly felt closer to the Roses over the last several months than I have the Tower folk, so it totally only made sense to apply. So I did! And I got interviewed and then tonight I was FINALLY inducted! WOO!

So, I totally asked if they were going to do some wacky tihng that would totally embarrass me, cause last week there were a couple people inducted and they had to put tabards on each other which was of course totally awkward. So, I'm like waiting for it and waiting for it, and then they're like... NAH. And I'm like, come ON you guys, I totally prepared a song and dance for this very occasion. So I performed it anyways.

Valor! Courage! Patience! Trust!
I could hardly wait, and now this is so great!

So that's that! I'm totally the newest initiate to the Order of the Rose. Cool, huh?

Reconciliation

Man, what a day. So, I was chillaxing at Kaetta's house, getting ready for the huge meeting of uberness this evening, when Pizmo buzzes me on my comms and is all, can we talk? And I'm like, dude, hasn't he done enough? And so I tell him, look, I guess so, if you have read my letters, and if you'll, like, listen to what I say instead of getting bent on your own agenda, and we can have Grendrak come help mediate. And he's like, OK. And so he comes to Kaetta's house, because I really don't want to be leaving to go anywhere - I've been sick all weekend, hello!

Anyway, so Grenny sits down with us, and Pizmo was just a total ass to him. And then he started yelling back and forth with Kaetta, who was still in her house taking care of Wynni, and I'm just like, good grief, this is what I'm fighting for? But we FINALLY got him to shut up so we could actually address the subject at hand. I start trying to explain to him how his equations were wrong, but I'm not sure that really stuck. And so then I tried to explain how everything was worse because of his flawed conclusion, and I swear we were talking in circles.
So then Grenny pipes up and is recapping everything he's heard so far to make sure he's got everything straight. And of course Pizmo insults him again, but Grenny's awesome and is just like, whatever. Anyway, he pretty much has the gist of things from my end, and then Pizmo starts trying to explain his point of view uusing all kinds of weird abstract math, and my brain just kind of glazes over. But Grenny was TOTALLY following it! He's so rad!

So then Grenny starts talking about even MORE complicated equations and drawings, and I hear the bells tolling and I'm like, HOLY CRAP, the MEETING! And so I'm like, guys, we're making good progress and stuff, but I really have to attend this meeting, and you guys have to come with me. So we all hopped the gryphon for Stormwind. In retrospect, I guess I coulda made Pizzy give us a port, but I dunno how well the request would have gone over at the moment.

So anyway, we get to the Blue Recluse, and I'm saying hi to folks, and a couple people come to greet Pizzy and Grenny. I led them up to a table, and I notice that Pizmo is seriously freaking out with all the people there. Now, I was mad at him for being a jerk, but that didn't mean I wanted to give him a panic attack or anything. So I busted out this mechanical squirrel that I made the other day while I was trying to wrap my head around this engineering stuff before heading down to run the meeting.

We had REALLY good attendance at the meeting, which was so awesome. Tziva reported on the changes to the Greenwards requirements, and then it was time for the BIG CEREMONY. Stormy comes up, and I realize I totally forgot my notes, which was kinda freaky-deaky, so I kinda made it up as I went along. I hope it was binding enough or whatever. ANYWAY, so I swore Stormypants in as the new Emissary! I was officially no longer supreme commander of the universe! So crazy, can you believe it?

So, Hanman comes in and takes care of some business, and then the meeting is all wrapped up, so I go up to where Pizzy and Grenny have been sitting, and I guess they've totally been talking this whole time, which is good. And he's like, Mr. Grendrak totally filled me in that equations can be totally right and yet totally wrong if you don't understand the complexity at the beginning. And then he totally agreed with me that we needed a lot more positives to balance out the negatives. He told me how much he loved me and how stressful this last month has been, and how sorry he was that he had hurt me on Friday.

So, I'm trying to figure out what to think. I mean, last week I wanted to marry him and make him babies, and then this weekend I wanted to dump him and never see him again, and a couple kind words and apologies aren't just going to push everything away. He got hung up on the dumping part, though, and so while I was trying to explain to him that we were going to need to put in a lot of work to make things better again, he was tearfully begging me not to leave.

One thing that I've always loved about Pizzy is how sincere he is. Even if he's making up stupid things to try to impress me, or stumbling over his words or whatever, he's always been the most sincere person I've ever met. And I could tell he was sorry, and that he really did love me and couldn't bear for me to leave him after all this. And so... I didn't end the relationship right there. Maybe I'm a softie, but I think we can work this out. It's going to take a long time and a lot of effort, but we can do it.

I spent the remainder of the evening in his arms. It was kind of weird to be so close after all the disasters, but it felt so good. It felt so wonderful to be reconciled with him. I dunno how this is going to turn out, but we have hope again. And that's what counts.

New Year's goals!

OK, so, the fjord DIDN'T freeze, and we were sailing all day yesterday and it was totally dull and stuff and our ship landed in Menethil today and BOY, I'm glad for the power of portals because dragging Wynne across the entire frickin' continent to get to the Dark Portal is not terribly amusing! Unfortunately, it wasn't Pizzy's portal that got us home. I totally left him a couple messages at his workshop, and I don't know if he even GOT them or not, and I really really hope that I see him soon and stuff.

ANYWAY, since it's Winter Veil and the year's almost over and stuff, now's TOTALLY a good time to make goals and everything, and since I'm totally in charge of a whole bunch of crap, I have a freaking ton of goals to set. But this year's going to be totally killer. I hope. Anyway! Here's what I've totally decided.

OK, so first of all, the ORDER of the WHITE TOWER! Maintaining the Order as a viable organization is SERIOUS work, particularly when the ties are more social than anything else. You can do something TOTALLY amazing, but if you never follow up then people just kinda of think that nothing ever happens, which totally isn't true, but it's totally exhausting to keep coming up with ideas and gathering interest and advertising and running it and then starting over from scratch. So, this year I'm totally gonna bug other people for help, because when I try to run everything then sometimes stuff doesn't get done, which I hate, but I guess that's kind of the reality of things.

ANYWAY! So, Layelle Ash'Therod, who's totally in the White Coven and stuff, has totally volunteered to help out with events. I totally discussed it with other officers and I think we're going to totally raise her to my old office, the "Activities Wisdom".

OK, so, I totally have help and all, what am I going to DO? Well, it totally occurred to me that while we talk about different covens and stuff, nothing ever really happens with them lately, so what's the point? So in JANUARY we're totally having coven-sponsored activities! I totally want each coven to come up with an activity that has an educational component and an activity component. FEBRUARY is going to be Racial Pride month! So, every race within the Tower will do some kind of activity (educational component is optional). The idea is to build solidarity and educate about diversity and stuff like that.

OK, so, those are the goals for the Tower. For my armies, I totally want us to start making serious progress in Serpentshrine Cavern and start venturing into Tempest Keep. I mean, the Lurker isn't all that big a deal to the Nagas or whatever - he's just a big fish - but when we smooshed Hydross, I think Lady Vashj noticed. She'll be totally tightening up her defenses and stuff, and we really need to PULL TOGETHER if we're going to kick her butt and get back that Vial of Eternity! I know we can totally do it - we just have to focus and stuff. And we really need to do this if we're going to launch attacks on the real threat out here - Illidan and the Black Temple!

As for Wynni, I totally think that I can start bringing her to more things. I mean, obviously if I'm lighting blood elves on fire then she should be somewhere safe, but I mean, she can totally come to guild meetings or business around town or whatever. I think that usually I'm just like, well, busy, need to leave Wynni at home when it's TOTALLY not the case. I guess I've been thinking a lot more about her future lately, and it's not like anyone's going to care for her if I get squished by a fel reaver unless they know she EXISTS! GOSH! And thinking along those lines, when would it be good for her and Pizzy to start getting to know each other? I mean, on the one hand I don't want her to get attached and be hurt if things don't work out, but on the other hand, if he's going to be an important part of my life then she SHOULD know him, right? Man, this single parenting stuff is totally complicated.

Anyway, so, those are totally my goals for the coming year. I'm going to push, push, push and make things work, cause I know that my organizations are the best anywhere, on or off Azeroth! Pizzy might have money, but I have the power to get people to DO stuff, and this year I intend to use that power for AWESOME!

Totally Rockin' Winter Veil Party!

OK, so AFTER the amazing day with Pizmo and AFTER I kicked troll booty (I swear, this all happened on the same day - stuff comes in spurts! Either I"m supremely busy or nothing's going on!) I went to the Winter Veil party in Winterspring! My hope was to have a totally big fun shindig with the Order of the Rose cause they are totally cool people but my Tower folks kinda had a hard time mingling which made me sad. But Shael was totally pretending to be Greatfather Winter and having people sit on his lap and tell him what they wanted for Christmas. SO FUN! I totally did that with Lord Victor Nefarius last year but he wasn't terribly amused.

ANYWAY! At least we totally had our gift exchange! I totally made a bag for Rakhuntres cause I didn't know what to get her and I thought, well, hey, everyone needs bags, right? But Moonfalora TOTALLY gave me the best gift EVER! It was a TONK! And so I totally started driving it around and blasting things and Storm got a tonk too so we had a big PEWPEWPEW battle and it was SO AWESOME! And Kitty-Kaetta was there and she totally asked me about my day with Pizmo and was totally excited (and totally jealous) that it went so well.

Then I fell asleep and didn't wake up for awhile because Ziltal buggered off - I guess maybe he's afraid of the awesome tonk or something. Lame! So when I woke up, all my Tower folk were totally buggering off! I know some of them had an appointment to smack some ogres and gronn around, but I think some of them were just totally shy. Too bad! I totally stuck around and had a blast. I met Rollandren's two adopted kids - a human girl and an orc boy who had nifty but weird names that I totally cannot remember. I showed them my kickin' tonk and my fighting robot that Tegoelf made me and some warlocky magic stuff and all, and I think they were totally entertained and stuff. I totally wish I had brought Wynni! She totally would have dug having other kids to play with.

So then I totally fell asleep for a long while again (must remember that stupid imp is afraid of tonks! Failure in his duties, psh!) and when I woke up, the Roses were TOTALLY getting ready to play charades. And so I'm like, oooh, PICK ME! And I got picked! I was totally on a team with Shael and Xija and Neltarin (least I think that was his name; hadn't met him before). So first, Neltarin totally impersonated a chicken, and I guessed so fast that he was like, holy crap! And then Shael pretended to be a succubus, which was pretty funny. And then it was totally my turn, and I was a DRAGON! And then Xija was a rogue. I didn't guess that one so well. Then Neltarin was a moonkin, and I totally got that right TOO! So they told me, hey Duerma, you're so totally awesome at guessing that you should totally take on the other team! And I'm like, right on! So we hustle back to the other team and wait for them to finish up (and they totally had some really weird crap, like the paladin who impersonated Dalaran - I was all, huh?), and then it was Hino and me in a battle of the MINDS! And so then Shaila started walking on her tiptoes and I'm like, oh my GOSH, you are so totally a DRAENEI and Hino was all, say what, and Shaila was all, right on! And that's how I TOTALLY won at charades.

Afterwards, Shael was like, hey, do you still wanna visit with Greatfather Winter? And I'm like sure, even though I was still kinda snickering about his succubus impression. And so I sat on his lap and he asked my name and what I wanted for Winter Veil. It totally took me a second because I was like, dude, I just totally had the best day ever, what more could I want? And so then I told him that I wanted a Blessings Deck and a flying machine and a dolly for Wynni and some neato schematics for Pizmo and a pet Shiva and some other crap I can't remember. It was totally fun. And then it was totally MORE fun to see this ginormous Draenei guy try to sit on his lap to do the same thing!

By that time, I was TOTALLY pooped. I told everyone TOODLES and headed back to Shattrath for a good night's sleep. Well, to finish packing and a good night's sleep. I'm so totally glad our ship doesn't leave until like noon or so!

SUPREME COMMANDER!

OK, so oh my gosh. You know, I've totally been the Emissary for a totally long time now and everything, but Zelanah's always held the keys to power and stuff. So like, if I decided that I didn't want to be Emissary anymore and we needed a new Emissary then I couldn't be the one to do it; she'd totally have to be here. Well, turns out that she was totally delivered the keys to the new guild bank, too! And so I tracked her down - she's totally been spending all her time on the farm lately - and I'm all, Zel, you totally gotta give me the keys to the bank! And so we hooked up at the Blue Recluse and she gave me the keys to EVERYTHING which is TOTALLY wild and crazy! So now I really am the head honcho in the Tower! And I could rename all the Wisdoms to be "Murphy" and call the Aspirants "New Guys" or whatever! But I won't! But I could!

Anyway, yay, we have a guild bank now! Huzzah!
